Skala Potamia is on the east coast of Thassos.
It is also the harbour of the Potamia which was built in the mountains.
Long ago the beach was called "water jump".
Today they are calling Skala Potamia also Chrysi Akti, which means golden coast.
On the other side of Potamia there is the village Chrysi Ammoudia, which is also called golden coast.
Together the two villages have a beautiful bay which is surrounded by the glimmering sea in the colour of emerald.

In the last years Skala Potamia became a very liked place and there are a lot of tourists in the main saison.
